a one woman car?

I’m going to sell my car and buy a new one so I was investigating how much they were selling for on some car sites and had to laugh when I saw that a woman had in her notes

one person woman

I’m thinking she might have meant it was a one woman car, either that or she thinks it’s a dating site.

Not laughing at the car yard who offered me a trade in price of $ 4000.00 when they’re selling privately for just over $10,000.00. Cheeky bastards.

    • Well I’m not in a furious hurry to get a new car so I’ll sell this one privately I think – ridiculous to think I can get over twice the amount they are offering.

  1. I hate it when I feel like I’m being ripped off. Then I feel like there’s no choice because it’s the market norm because everybody is allowing themselves to be ripped off.

    • It’s impossible to get a good deal anymore when buying a new car as all the dealerships sell for the same price – even different towns seem to have to exact same deals – very annoying.

  2. Sell it yourself! You will make out sooo much better dealing with cash. They screw you over when they have to take the time to sell your car. Just be sure to repeat to the buyer that the car is sold “AS IS” no guarantee on anything. šŸ˜‰

    • I could sell it as new not as is – it’s in great condition – it’s just the effort and time involved. I’ll see how it goes for a couple of weeks and if it hasn’t sold I’ll just trade it in. I’m not a very patient person and now I’ve decided I want a new car – I want it NOW.

  3. My husband would prefer to trade a car with problems into a car yard than sell it to an individual as at least the end purchaser will be covered by a warranty which they would not be if purchased privately. That is why I probably going to trade my car in. Has an intermittent problem with the electrics so hoping I can trade it in at a time when it is NOT playing silly buggers.

    • Lol, sneaky. This one doesn’t have any problems and it’s only four years old and came with a five year warranty so if I sell it privately they’ll still have a years warranty on it. These guys were offering me $4000 for it and I saw one for sale in their yard for $9500 with twice as many Kms on it.
